Cruises operate year round in the Mediterranean but more itineraries are on offer in the peak seasons of May to September. The shoulder season runs from April to October and tends to less busy.
Average daily maximum temperatures in the winter months are about 15-16 °C (59-61 °F) with between 4 and 6 hours of sunshine a day.
Springtime sees the temperatures starting to warm, with an average daily maximum of about 23 °C (74 °F) by May with around 10 hours of sunshine by the end of the spring.
June, July and August have an average daily maximum temperature of 30-31 °C (86-88 °F) in August with daily average sunshine of around 11 hours.
